Today the biggest class in RMU history joins campus and begins their journey as making these 4 years as Colonials memorable. New student orientation is taking place at thousands of campuses across the nation, but RMU’s lineup is stacked with both information and fun for freshmen. Here is the full schedule:

Thursday, Aug. 22

8 a.m.-1 p.m. : Move-In for First-Year & Transfer Resident Students

Campus Resource Fair – Sewall Center (3rd Floor)

11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Lunch on Your Own – Romo’s Cafe and the Food Court

11 a.m.-12 p.m.: Orientation Check-in for Commuter STudents

12:30 & 1:30 p.m.: Find Your Way… A Guided Tour of Campus – Admissions Office

1-1:30 p.m.: Orientation for Parents of New Student-Athletes – Joe Walton Stadium 230

1:30-2:15 p.m.: Get SET: Planning Your Engagement Transcript – Sewall Center Pennsylvania Suite

1:45-2:45 p.m.: Your Student Matters! A special session for parents – Sewall Center 3rd floor

3-4:30 p.m.: New Student Convocation Ceremony – Sewall Center Arena

5:00 p.m.: Parents and families encouraged to depart campus

5:30-7 p.m.: New Student Dinner – Nicholson Food Court

7-8 p.m.: First-year Residence Hall Meetings

8-8:30 p.m.: Ice Cream Social hosted by RMU Greek Life – Gazebo

8:30-10:30 p.m.: Monte Carlo Night – Nicholson Food Court

10:30 p.m. -12:00 a.m.: Bonfire – Nicholson Fire Pit

Graffiti Party – John Jay Center, Gus Krop Gym

Friday, August 23

9-11 a.m.: First Year Kick-Off Breakfast

10-10:45 a.m., 11-11:45 a.m., 1-1:45 p.m.: Get SET: Planning Your Engagement Transcript (First year students last name A-H first session, I-R second session, S-Z third session) – Massey Theatre

12-2:30 p.m.: Transfer Student Session – Patrick Henry Hopwood Hall

2-3 p.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m.: Making the Most of Your RMU Experience – Sewall Center International Suite

4:30-5:15 p.m.: Dean’s Reception – SBUS: Rudolph Family Gardens; SCIS Wheatley Center; SESS: Nicholson Center 4th Floor; SEMS: Gus Krop Gym; SNHS: Rogal Chapel; UNDC: RoMo’s Cafe.

5:30-6:30 p.m.: Dinner with your Mentor – Nicholson Center

7-10 p.m.: Island Adventure (Bowling at Paradise Lanes and activities at the RMU Island Sports Center on Neville Island) – Departs from Nicholson Center lot at 6:30 p.m.

10:30-Midnight: Late Night Dodgeball

Saturday, August 24

8:15 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Community Service  – Depart Sewall Center lot

12-2 p.m. – Outdoor Picnic – Gazebo

2:30-3:30 p.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m. – Here Today, Gone Tomorrow – Massey Theatre

4:30-5:30 p.m.: Calling All Singers, Dancers, Actors, and Techies – Massey Theatre

4:30-6 p.m.: Tutoring Center Open House – Center for Student Success (Nicholson Center 2nd Floor)

5-6 p.m.: Dinner with Your Mentor – Nicholson Center

6-8 p.m.: Kickball Game – Nicholson Center Lawn

7-8 p.m.: Student-Athlete Mixer – Sewall Center Arena

9-11 p.m.: Outdoor Movie: Fast and Furious 6 – Nicholson Center Lawn

Sunday, Aug. 25

12 p.m.: Intramural/Recreation Events (Sand Volleyball and Yoga) – Volleyball Courts and Nicholson Center Lawn

11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Shopping Shuttle to Robinson Town Centre

2-3 p.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m.: Student Media Informational – Patrick Henry Center

Greek 101 – Nicholson Center Food Court

Women’s Novice Rowing Informational – Joe Walton Stadium Plaza

5-7 p.m.: Dinner with Your Mentor – Nicholson Center

7-8 p.m.: Campus Ministry Association Dessert Reception – Nicholson Center Fire Pit

8-10 p.m.: BobbyMania – Nicholson Center Lawn
