Police Blotter: March 14 – March 19, 2012

3/14 – Trespass Warning – Residence Life advised of a non-student staying in Adams Hall. Officers and Residence Life made contact with the non-student and issued a Trespass Warning from campus. (Closed)

3/15 – Lost Property – A student reported leaving a cell phone in Romo’s Café.  A report was taken for the lost item and if located this department will notify the owner. (Closed)

3/15 – Disorderly Conduct – This department was advised of an altercation in Hamilton Hall. The altercation was between a male and female and a citation was issued for Disorderly Conduct. (Closed)

3/15 – Lost Property – A student reported his university parking permit missing. A report was written and officers will keep a look out for the permit on campus. (Closed)

3/16 – Disturbance – This department received a call for loud music and people yelling in Gallatin Hall.  An Officer spoke with the resident and had them turn down the music. (Closed)

3/16 – Smell of Marijuana – This department was advised of a smell of marijuana in Madison Hall. The room was located and a search ended up positive for marijuana. Charges are pending for this incident at this time. (Closed)

3/16 – Student Conduct – Residence Life reported underage students with a case of beer going into Adams Hall. Officers confiscated the beer and advised all parties involved that they would be sent through Judicial Affairs for judgment. (Closed) 

3/16 – Medical Emergency – Officers and Valley Ambulance responded to an unresponsive student in Lexington hall. Aide was given to the student who ended up passing away. (Closed)

3/17 – Property Damage – A resident student advised of damage done to a computer and game controller, while he was away from his dorm room. The cameras will be checked in the building to see who enters the room in an attempt to locate any suspects involved. (Open)

3/17 – Student Conduct – The Holiday Inn front desk reported damage to ceiling tiles on the third floor. The cameras will be reviewed in an attempt to locate the suspects involved. (Open)

3/18 – Fire Alarm – Guardian advised of a fire alarm activated in Concord Hall. Upon officers’ arrival, it was determined that the cause of the alarm was steam from the shower. The alarm panel was reset and officers cleared. (Closed)

3/18 – Medical Emergency – This department was advised of a male who was light headed and vomiting in front of Nicholson Center. Valley Ambulance was contacted and transported the student to Sewickley Hospital for further treatment. (Closed)

3/18 – Fire Alarm – Guardian advised of a fire alarm activated in Concord Hall. Upon officers’ arrival, it was determined that the cause of the alarm was the residents cooking. The alarm panel was reset and officers cleared. (Closed)

3/19 – Fire Alarm – Guardian advised of a fire alarm activated in Concord Hall. Upon officers’ arrival, it was determined that the cause of the alarm was the residents’ cooking. The alarm panel was reset and officers cleared. (Closed)
