Men’s basketball’s schedule was announced.

After seven of the nine non-conference games were announced for the upcoming 2021-22 men’s basketball season, the remaining two non-conference games and the full 22-game Horizon League schedule have been released. Let’s check out some of the headlines from this year’s slate.

What we already know

Seven out of the nine non-conference games that were announced over the course of summer are matchups against Central Florida on November 11, the Kentucky Classic with games against Kentucky on November 12, Ohio on November 15 and the home opener against Mount St. Mary’s on November 19, to cap off the MTE.

It was also announced that RMU will host Florida Gulf Coast on December 11, they will then travel to Bowling Green on December 18 and to Loretto on December 22 to take on the Saint Francis Red Flash for the first time since the 2020 NEC Championship game.

New non-conference games

Robert Morris will travel to North Carolina to take on Davidson on November 27 and then they will host Lancaster Bible School on December 8.

Men’s Basketball Conference Slate

The Colonials open their league schedule earlier than in years past as they will travel to Green Bay to take on the Phoenix on December 2.

RMU will get their first taste of Patrick Baldwin Jr. on December 4 when they take on the University of Milwaukee.

After completing their non-conference schedule on December 22, Robert Morris will travel to the blacktop to take on Oakland on December 30. Then, for the second straight year, Robert Morris will be playing on New Year’s Day as they take on Detroit Mercy.

The Colonials will then play five straight home games against Youngstown State, Cleveland State, Purdue Fort Wayne, Wright State, and Northern Kentucky.

They then hit the road once again and travel to Fort Wayne to take on the Mastodons and then Cleveland State to finish out their season series with those two schools.

Milwaukee will be in town on January 27 and then will host Green Bay on January 29. After that, they will travel to Chicago and take on UIC and then IUPUI on February 3 and February 5.

They will then take on Detroit Mercy and Oakland at home on February 9 and February 11. They will play their second Horizon League Sunday matchup of the season on the road against Youngstown State.

RMU will return home to take on IUPUI, and UIC to round out the home portion of their schedule on February 17 and February 19.

Finally, they will finish the year on the road against Northern Kentucky and in Dayton at Wright State.
